Fire Stunts

In 2005 we were hired by Budy Van Horn to work on Clint Eastwood’s “ Flags Of Our Fathers”. There were some specific Fire stunts designed especially for this feature. One was two stunt men playing Japanese Soldiers coming out of a Pill box engulfed in flames.
The other, Buddy performed himself. A marine with a flame thrower being shot and blown up. With The help of VGP effects, we designed a more realistic fire mask that had expressions and realistic textures. We also used this same style mask for "To Live and Die" and Clint Eastwood’s “Letters From Iwo Jima.” The latter burn won the Taurus World Stunt award 2007 for best fire stunt.
